Founded in 1987 by Charles Anthony Kinnucan, originally we were known as On Your Feet. The original store was located on Gay Street in Auburn, AL and concentrated on running footwear. As the market place continued to evolve, so did our vision. Several years later, the store was renamed Kinnucans and grew into a store with a vast selection of products including footwear, but with the addition of cold and warm weather apparel, sunglasses, collegiate goods and womens fashion. Over the last 20 years, we have expanded into six states with seventeen locations. Specialty Outfitter is our way of expressing to our guests that we are an outdoor, lifestyle inspired store that carries only the specialty brands and goods that you cant find many other places. Richard Thompson began the business after 20 years experience in mergers, acquisitions, and start-ups with Sears company.
