About Us

The Youth Diversion Program is a charitable organization which has offered service to youth in the Kingston area since 1974. Our core purpose is to help youth overcome challenges. We accomplish this by: Providing individualized services to divert youth from risk; Providing both intervention and prevention services; and, Working collaboratively and in partnership with youth, their families, other agencies and our community. Youth Diversion offers several evidence informed prevention and early intervention programs for youth between 9-24. School based programs, cognitive skills based programs, restorative practices, mentoring, youth outreach, KAIROS addictions services and youth justice services . We employ 16 full time staff and over 150 volunteer a year lend their time to supporting our youth.
