We are very proud to be the largest credit union in Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire. WCCU is a not-for-profit financial cooperative with nearly 10,000 members who own and control the credit union through a democratically elected board of directors. Our mission is simple. It is to give our members a brighter financial future by providing ethical, honest, friendly and fair service. We do this by using our members savings to fund loans to our other members at fair and reasonable interest rates. The interest that gets paid back from the loans is used to fund a return on members savings. Unlike the big high street banks, we dont have shareholders - so everything we do is for the benefit of our members. We are firmly rooted in the WV postcode areas that include the city of Wolverhampton and the villages of South Staffordshire.
