Westside Baptist Church

From humble beginnings in 1946, meeting in a small Army Chapel, growth into a 2,500 member family of faith has been a journey of unwavering faith for Westside Baptist Church. Started in 1946, with just 73 members, the congregation grew quickly, and in 1947 an Army Chapel was purchased for $1,500 from Camp Murphy, and moved to Orange Avenue in Fort Pierce. The late 1980s and early 90s brought tremendous growth to Westside. Under Dr. Dale Ingersolls leadership, the church moved to South Jenkins Road in 1991. Today, the Westside family has completed a truly ground-breaking addition with a new 64,843 square-foot, 1,740 seat sanctuary. Over the last 62 years, Westside has shared many challenges and blessings, faithfully spreading the Gospel of Christ throughout our community.
