Vilnius International School was founded in 2004 by three families Leitzinger, Juras and Gravesen Jensen from Finland, USA/Lithuania and Denmark. Each of us sought an educational experience for our children different from that available in Vilnius. We envisioned a school that reflected the values of a democratic and multicultural society, while paying homage to Lithuanian culture and tradition. We have since created a warm learning environment where all members of the VIS school community feel welcome and respected.
