VATT Institute for Economic Research

At the VATT Institute for Economic Research, we conduct high-quality research to support decision-making and to evaluate economic policy. The main building blocks of our analyses are large-scale register data, institutional knowledge and economic theory. We have 60 employees, mainly researchers with PhDs in economics. Our researchers are sought after as experts in parliamentary committees, expert working groups and the media.
