United Oil Company

Founded in 1906, United Oil Company is located on the North Shore in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, historically known as the heart of the steel and aluminum industries. Its location near the banks of the Ohio River, facilitated its ability to reach customers in the Tri-state area and beyond. Edward D. Stevens, a long time resident of Pittsburgh with a family history in steel and a degree from MIT in metallurgical engineering, purchased United Oil Company in 1953. After working in the steel industry for many years, helping the war effort from the home front, Mr Stevens finally fulfilled his dream of owning his own business. Since then, United Oil has remained in the family for over 60 years. This has been achieved by strong business relationships that are built on trust and integrity.
