UMTH Maiduguri

The University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) was officially commissioned on the 23rd of July, 1983 by former President Aliyu Shehu Shagari, GCFR. The hospital now has total bed capacity of 530 with 17 clinical and 14 non clinical department;serving a population of over 25 million in the North East Geopolitical Zone,Comprising Six state namely, Borno, Yobe,Adamawa,Taraba, Bauchi,and Gombe;as well as a sizable number across the border of the Cameron,Niger and Chad Republic.
