Torngat Wildlife Plants and Fisheries Secretariat

The Torngat Joint Fisheries Board and the Torngat Wildlife and Plants Co-Management Board are Institutions of Public Government created in Chapters 12 and 13 of the 2005 Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement. Both boards primary work is making recommendations to the relevant Federal, Provincial, and or Nunatsiavut Minister on the conservation of fish, fish habitat, aquatic plants, wildlife and plant species within and adjacent to the Labrador Inuit Settlement Area.
