The Low Incomes Tax Reform Group (LITRG)

The Low Incomes Tax Reform Group (LITRG) is an initiative of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) to give a voice to the unrepresented. Our mission is to: Target for help and information those least able in the community to afford to pay for advice and make a real difference to their understanding of the systems of taxation and related benefits whilst working to make them more equitable and accessible for their needs. Our home website (www.litrg.org.uk) contains useful guides, factsheets and information on all aspects of tax and tax credits affecting low income taxpayers and tax credit claimants, as well as reports and consultation responses submitted to the government on a wide range of tax issues.
