At the intersection of Charlestons past and present, The Loutrel is a luxury boutique hotel that captures the citys finest hour. Architecture and design firm Michael Graves drew from Charlestons bounty of private gardens to create an upscale retreat with a deep sense of place. With 50 guest rooms and suites defined by elegance, The Loutrel features bespoke furnishings enhanced by natural materials with a vivid palette of greens, blues and gold, capturing a refined yet welcoming spirit. Distinct local references throughout include the Lowcountry swing bed to the ethereal mural by artist Linda Fantuzzo. A lush rooftop terrace for gazing at panoramic views is accessed through an airy lobby that somehow feels like home, with an adjacent Veranda Lounge for socializing and grazing on seasonal dishes and botanical craft cocktails.
