The Down Syndrome Centre

The Down Syndrome Centres are the first and only service-led facilities for Children with Down syndrome in Ireland. Our main function is to provide vital services to children with Down syndrome from birth to 18 years. We also have a huge focus on families. We have a full-time on-site clinical team who are currently providing services to over 320 children. The centres are a place for parents to meet, get information and advice, make friends, and build support networks and communities. Under our umbrella, we also have The Together Academy which is a college for young adults with Ds and provides a QQI qualification, work experience and a job placement with support. This is a pilot programme which we hope to roll out across the country.
