Vision: One day, all children in Uganda will attain an equitable quality education. Background: Uganda is home to over 45 million people and it is arguably the youngest nation in the world. 78% of the population is under 30 years old out of which 50% is under 15 years old. 17 million children are in Ugandas schools. 70% of them never finish primary school due to poor quality education and high rates of teacher absenteeism. Every 7 years, 12 million children fall through the cracks of our education system. 90% of all teachers have been found incompetent by the Uganda National Examination Board. The overwhelming failure rate has led to 80% of youth unemployment exacerbating the cycle of poverty.
