Teach For America Houston

We are Teach For America Houston, and for 30 years, we have been working to solve the education equity crisis. We begin by recruiting talented and passionate educators to join the movement to end educational inequity. Our network of 1,700 leaders spark achievement opportunities for our students each day and aim to set a strong example in the most diverse city in the nation. Currently, we partner with eight underserved school districts-city wide. Our corps members are rigorously and continuously developed, and alongside our seasoned alumni, our network ensures the success of more than 39,000 students each day. Were invested for the long term. Were proud to say 77% of TFA alumni stay in education past their initial two-year commitment. Our alumni continue to work towards igniting each students potential by founding 25 of their own non-profit organizations such as EMERGE, ProUnitas, KIPP and YES Prep Public Schools.
