Tasmanian Institute of Sport

The Tasmanian Institute of Sport (TIS) was established in 1985 by the Tasmanian Government to assist Tasmanias talented athletes achieve excellence in sport. The TIS is a division within Culture, Arts and Sport, which is a business unit within the Department of State Growth Tasmania. The TIS operated two bases across the state; the Northern office is located at the Silverdome Complex in Launceston and the Southern office located at the Tasmanian Technopark in Hobart. Our vision is to be a world class centre for excellence that delivers Tasmanias largest, most successful cohort of Olympic and Paralympic athletes in 2032....
