TAG GmbH is a leading Austrian gas transmission system operator (TSO) and an important partner for the Austrian and European gas supply and other grid-based renewable energy forms such as biogas and hydrogen. Its core business is the transport of gas and the operation and maintenance of gas pipelines and facilities for the reliable and secure supply of energy to Austria and neighboring countries. The Company is an important European interconnector with 50 years of experience, as the pipeline systems technological design allows for gas transport in both directions: from Austria to Italy and neighboring countries as well as in the opposite direction. The pipeline system, comprising three parallel pipelines with connected stations, is about 380 km long with a total of 1,140 km of pipelines making it the longest high-pressure network in Austria.
