By decision of City People Committee Bitola, Komunalna banka Bitola was established and started operating as of October 01, 1948. By decision of People Committee of Bitola District Komunalna banka Bitola was established for the area where the District was acting, so Komunalna Banka Bitola merged with Komunalna Banka Bitola (District bank) which started operating as of October 08, 1956. By decision of the founders Komunalna Banka Bitola remains to act as bank of municipality Bitola and Demir Hisar as of April 01, 1962. By decision of Assemblies of the founders of Komunalni Banki of Bitola, Ohrid, Struga, Resen and Krusevo, Komercijalno investiciona banka Bitola was established with head office located in Bitola and existence of five branches. This banking organization started from January 01, 1966 till the end of 1972.
