Steensen Varming

Steensen Varming was founded in Copenhagen in 1933 by Niels Steensen and Jrgen Varming. We worked in close cooperation with architects such as Arne Jacobsen and clients such as the Nobel Prize winner, Professor Niels Bohr. The organisation developed internationally, working with Basil Spence and James Stirling in the UK. The Sydney Opera House commission with Jrn Utzon brought our practice to Australia.
