Steel Africa started in Windhoek in April 2001. Since then the company opened branches in Walvis Bay, Swakopmund and Tsumeb, and has grown to be one of the largest steel merchants in Namibia specializing in the mining, marine and Oil & Gas industries. We have grown our network and expanded our services via our sister company Suresteel which is based in Swakopmund. Suresteel specializes in the reinforcing bar (rebar) market on a local and international level, supplying to the construction and mining industries. Steel Africa offer a stockholding which includes a comprehensive range of steel products and down-stream value-added processes. As group, we provide a one stop service, distributing the full complement of mild steel, stainless steel and special steel products as well as a large range of welding consumables to most industries.
