Speck Motors has been serving the Yakima Valley since 1912. Now under 4th generation Speck ownership, this family-owned business values community, supporting our employees and customers, and adding a personal touch to every purchase. Speck Motors was founded in 1912 with the Speck-Rowland Garage with Buick as the new car franchise. The Chevrolet division was added in 1917. During World War II, Specks service facility was converted to a machine shop manufacturing parts for the military. In 1946, Speck Motors was able to get new cars again and they were sold on a lottery basis. The original owner, Clayton Speck, passed away in 1953. He was remembered for his generosity to employees, customers and even people he didnt know. Claytons grandson received a letter from a woman that managed an orphanage thanking Clayton for his financial support over the years.
