Plastics play a major role in the global economy, benefiting industries like agriculture, healthcare, packaging, construction, and transportation. However, the existing linear plastic value chain is unsustainable and sees most of the end-of-life value of the plastics lost. The result is plastic waste pollution which is a major environmental challenge.
