In the early to late 80s, the entire entertainment industry in Sierra Leone was dominated by groups like Davalgees, Geneneers, Falcons, Whispers and Solid Gold. The founding members of Sierra Gold Entertainment along with their first artists were all members of Solid Gold and Davalgees in Sierra Leone. The Solid Gold Dancers named after the dancing group in the United States were the teenage idols of the day in Sierra Leone admired by thousands of fans. With the migration of Sierra Leoneans in the 90s to the US and England all of the Solid Gold members departed the shores of Sierra Leone in pursuit of their dreams. Members of the Solid Gold of Sierra Leone now adults in their own right and after securing a future for themselves decided to pursue their passion through the establishment of Sierra Gold Entertainment.
