Shri Krishna Nidhi (SKN) Foundation

Founded by leaders of the South Asian community in 2009, SKN Foundation is dedicated to improve the total well-being of a person through education. In the last few years, SKN Foundation has created a track record of partnering with various cultural groups and institutions to bring health education in innovative ways to the community. The current active projects of the SKN Foundation include: 1) Move it to Lose it (MITLI): a six week after school program for elementary school children to raise awareness about childhood obesity. This program utilizes the dance forms of Bollywood, Bhangra, an ethnic dance form of India and Hiphop to motivate the children to get them to be physically active.
