Our company (Amelia NV) was founded in 1999 as a result of an increasing international demand for easy to use and ready made Starcloths. Back in those days, the Starcloths were heavy fibre optic curtains or pea bulb curtains. Our first product was the ShowLED Classic curtain. This system provided a solid solution meeting the demands from the industry professionals for a flexible cost effective Starcloth. In the years that followed, Classic LED backdrops became the industry standard. A market driven requirement lead to our RGB Chameleon system being developed in 2005. The Chameleons full colour spectrum opened new markets for ShowLED. Designers saw possibilities in this colour changing backdrop giving an extra dimension to their designs. As LED technology developed, we invented the Animation system where the RGB LEDs could be controlled individually.
