SD Guthrie International Liverpool has been the UKs leading sustainable palm oil producer since its inception in 2010. With greater demand for sustainability and transparency across the European vegetable oil markets, we felt a responsibility to set up a dedicated supply chain of certified, traceable and sustainable palm oil to Europe and as a result we built Europes first-ever dedicated sustainable palm oil refinery in Liverpool. As well as catering for a wide array of bulk oils for the food, feed and personal care sector, we subsequently invested in a state-of-the-art bakery and boxed fats production facility allowing us to offer a wide range of frying oils and bakery fats. As of 2015, Sime Darby Plantation Bhd, the plantation arm of Malaysias conglomerate Sime Darby Bhd became the new owner of New Britain Palm Oil Ltd and as of 2019, the downstream business of Sime Darby Plantation was re-branded to Sime Darby Oils and in 2024 SD Guthrie International
