Founded in 1811, the School of Chemistry at the University of St Andrews is a nationally-renowned, cutting-edge department that is well-embedded into the University, an institution that in 2021 placed 2nd in The Guardian University League Tables. A nationally-recognised research leader as part of the EaStCHEM research school, the department paves the way for the next generation of chemistry and chemical science graduates by providing globally-recognised undergraduate and postgraduate taught degrees, as well as additionally hosting one of the largest postgraduate research programs at the University, with over 160 PhD students and 100 post-doctoral research workers.
