SBI INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS AG, begun its activities in Guatemala on the year 1981, under the name of SOLEL BONEH INTERNATIONAL LTD. Enrolling in the construction of the first phase of Nimajuyu Housing Project. After performing this project, in 1986 the first phase of the Wholesale Center Market was done. Road construction begun on 1988, the first road built was CA-9 Norte. Since that date 1900 kilometers of road have been constructed all throughout the country, which constitutes 30% of the asphalt roads existent in Guatemala. In 1997 the first Project of Telecommunications was developed. On 1998 at Belice the Project of 500 lines with wireless systems was executed. On the year 2000 a subsidiary at El Salvador was created for the execution of the road San Martin Cedros.
