Save Our Shores

Save Our Shores is the oldest marine conservation nonprofit along the Central Coast of California. We care for one of the worlds most unique marine ecosystems through ocean awareness, advocacy, and community action. From preventing offshore oil drilling in the Monterey Bay during the 1970s, to helping establish the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary in the early 1990s, Save Our Shores brings people together to build community programs and policies that protect the Central Coast marine environment for both current and future generations. #SaveOurShores
