SAARI Collective

The SAARI Collective is a media startup and social enterprise. Our mission is to amplify South Asian Australian voices, and help us be seen, heard, successful and celebrated in Australia. Were a community and national media platform, and we support South Asian writers to get into the media. In just over 2 years, weve published over 150 South Asian Australian writers, many for the first time. Were building the capacity of a new generation and boldly discussing the important issues that matter to us. SAARI won the 2022 Victorian Government Multicultural Awards for Excellence in Media. We were also selected as one of Google News Initiatives News Equity Fund recipients for our work with underrepresented audiences. SAARI is an acronym for South Asian Australians Representing Ideas. We tell stories by South Asian Australians, for South Asian Australians and their friends. Come write for us, make change in the media and society, and get paid. No experience necessary!
