Red Lea Chickens Pty Ltd commenced as a fresh chicken operation in 1957, in Sydney, Australia and is still located at the original site although quite a few upgrades and extensions have occurred over the years as the Company has grown. Red Lea Chickens is wholly owned by the Asif family. The companys belief that Fresh Is Best has formed the basis of Red Lea Chickens production and it is now regarded as The Better Tasting Chicken. Red Lea Chickens processing factory at Blacktown is situated in the heart of Sydneys West, approximately 35 kilometres from Sydneys CBD. Red Lea Chickens has its own breeder rearing farms. These breeders provide the broilers which are then placed onto Contract Broiler Grower farms and the birds are reared to about 55 days of age before being transported to our factory site at Blacktown for processing.
