Pyrenean Institut of Ecology

Pyrenean Ecology Institute -IPE- is a research center which belongs to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), in the Natural Resources Area. IPEs main aim is to improve the understanding of terrestrial ecosystem functioning and structure. In addition, IPEs research focuses on ecosystems changes due to global change (including climate variability, hidrology, geology and landscape changes, pollution, invasive species and the impact of human activities on ecosystems).
