The company was founded in 1990 and, for many years, was known in the world of positioning as miCos GmbH. PI (Physik Instrumente) acquired the majority shares in miCos during 2011 and now the company name is PI miCos GmbH. As a member of the PI Group, PI miCos makes a strong contribution in the field engineered systems and is the center of competence for positioning systems with magnetic drives. PI miCos offers a broad range of precision axes from its standard portfolio for individual applications and OEM customers. Due to the broad range of controllers from both PI and ACS Motion Control, PI miCos is in a position to completely fulfill all customer requirements in the field of micro and nanopositioning.
