Photography for Industry

Blackpool College was responsible for my photography training during the 1980s. At the time it was considered one of the best places to study photography with a high proportion of students proceeding into the profession. In 1988, I took on the role of staff photographer with the worlds largest oil company, Saudi ARAMCO, based in Saudi Arabia. The Dhahran photolab supported the company Kingdom wide both onshore and offshore. Frequent commissions came in from the petrochemical complexes, capturing installations and expansion projects. Remote desert construction projects and Gulf based operations with shipping were regular subjects. Working with other major contractors also took place on big projects including Brown & Root and Bechtel. Photography for Industry was created in 1995 having returned from The Middle East.
