Peoples Process on Housing and Poverty in Zambia

Peoples Process on Housing and Poverty in Zambia (PPHPZ) is a non-governmental organisation that supports pro-poor grassroot community movements in rural and urban informal settlements networks across Zambia. PPHPZ has partnered with a grassroot movement called Zambia Homeless Poor Peoples Federation (ZHPPF) consisting of over 49,000 members. PPHPZ supports movements such as these to address developmental issues around sustainable housing, water and sanitation and land tenure security. At the center of PPHPZs policy lies the prioritization of community led and managed projects, a bottom up approach in promoting grass root decision making and development strategy.
