The company started as Ben-Ko-Matic in 1958 as a broom manufacturing equipment company then began making the brooms and selling them direct in 1976 for the next 30 years, the Ben-Ko-Matic green brooms were in use all over the United States. Ben-Ko-Matic became the Elgin dealer in 1982 and then the Vactor dealer in 1995. Owen now serves a population of over 21 million citizens in the western United States. Weve been very successful by representing only the finest products built for the areas we serve. Quality products mean lower operating costs and higher performance and customers who are satisfied when they take delivery. We have an extensive rental and demo fleet and Owen Equipment has been one of the top 4 Vactor / Elgin dealers in the United States having sold over 500 new sewer cleaners, hydro excavators, street sweepers and camera systems.
