OCCAC is a cornerstone of the community effort to end poverty, from providing emergency services to low-income families in crisis to services that help build individual skills with the goal of self-sufficiency. Emergency services include rental assistance, emergency shelter, and energy and utility assistance. Weatherization services include weatherization through broken glass replacement and insulation installation, home improvement programs such as new roofs or electrical systems, and fee-based assessment services. Food programs include our food bank and a holistic approach to nutrition education through gardening, produce gleaning, and hands on classes
