The Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy (NIPSTA) is an intergovernmental agency comprised of municipalities, fire protection districts, and other organizations located in the Chicago metropolitan area that have combined energies and resources to create a regional, state-of-the-art public safety training facility. NIPSTAs mission is to develop and provide high quality, cost-efficient educational programs that address the training requirements of fire, police, EMS, public works, hazardous material, and disaster response personnel. The NIPSTA curriculum responds to the public safety educational needs and high professional standards of local government and private industry
