The World Health Organisation has declared Delhi as the City with the worst air quality in the World. In fact, the entire Indo-Gangetic plain has very poor quality air, with the desert in the East and the Himalayas in the North, we are essentially trapped in a bowl of air with high particulates. The ones under 2.5 microns are most scary and these result from combustion and hence are carcinogenic. Combined that with the fact that our body is unable to filter anything smaller than 2.5 microns.
