Nile Sugar was established in 2006 by the Sawiris family with investment of EGP 2,5 billion and started production and operations in 2010. NSC operates and manages a world class beet sugar extraction plant and refinery producing white sugar and its associated by-products, fodder and molasses. Headquartered in Cairo, with its production plant located in Nubarya, along the Cairo Alexandria desert road The factory is located on 277 feddans (owned by NSC) with ample space allowing future expansion, including the addition of a second production line In 2016, NSC managed to increase its beet root processing capacity by 47% to reach 10,500 tons per day, up from 7,500 tons per day NSC is a fully functioning organization with a strong management team of 908+ employees.
