Energy is one of the fundamental blocks of social economic development and access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all by 2030 is Goal 7 of the UNs Sustainable Development Goals. In East Africa today, most people are not on the grid but rely on kerosene for lighting and those on-grid often use kerosene due to low reliability of electricity. As more than 85% use biomass for cooking, East Africans suffer high cost of dirty fuels and toxic fumes that have negative impact on health, productivity, and the environment. Mwangaza Light is a clean energy distributor committed to reduce energy poverty for better welfare and to enhance energy efficiency for higher reliability.
