Mount Carmel Senior Living is at the forefront of senior living in St. Charles. It began in 1919, the last home founded in the US by Mother Mary Teresa of St. Joseph, founder of the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus. For 82 years, the St. Josephs home-widely known as the Carmelite Home-was operated by Sisters who lived the word and spirit of Mother Mary Teresa. We cherish the caring reputation of those Sisters, and we are proud of their past as they have inspired us to build and re-create something wonderful: to carry on their mission.
