MCAPs primary work is to provide children who are victims of abuse, neglect, and trafficking with their own specially-trained and compassionate attorney advocate. This work is critical to vulnerable children without it, they might be on their own in the complex, confusing, and frightening legal process. While the District Attorney (DA) handles cases of child abuse, they represent the county, not the child.
