MJMK was founded by long term friends, Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes in 2018. At MJMK, theyve built a team of passionate individuals to work alongside them, bringing to market a collection of award-winning restaurants with heart and soul. In 2018, we launched the first Casa do Frango in London Bridge to critical acclaim. Taking inspiration from Marcos southern Portuguese upbringing, Casa do Frango celebrates the spirit of sunny Portugal. In 2022 we opened Casa do Frango Piccadilly on Heddon Street and Casa do Frango Victoria opened in June 2023. The Chef-Led restaurants began with KOL, opening in Marylebone in 2020 in partnership with Mexican Chef Santiago Lastra, with KOL Mezcaleria, the bar downstairs opening in 2021. KOL has been recognised internationally as one of Londons best restaurants, with Santiago Lastra winning GQ Chef of the Year 2021, and KOL winning La Liste Best New Restaurant, Europe.
