The Ministry of Housing and Environment is established by the President under the powers granted to him by the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives.Mandate The mandate of this Ministry include: 1. Formulating policies related to Environment, Energy, Water and Meteorology, and formulating regulations and standards needed for the implementation of legislation. 2. Protecting the environment of the Maldives, and planning the sustainable development and implementation of all aspects of energy, water and sanitation, and meteorology. 3.
