Middle School Mathematics Institute

MSMI is a not for profit corporation dedicated to helping teachers, parents and schools help their students succeed at algebra. Focused primarily on elementary and middle schools in grades 4 through 8, MSMI offers teachers professional development opportunities to learn *the math they teach* at a deeper level. By focusing on building up mathematics knowledge in a coherent, precise, and linear way, MSMI helps teachers to convey the precision and coherence of mathematics to their students. MSMI offers courses on fractions and decimals as well as on K-6 Singapore Math. MSMI provides consulting services to schools in both curricuoum and professional development to ensure that their students move smoothly from arithmetic to algebra. MSMI offers parents free talks and pamphlets to help parents understand what mathematics their child needs to succeed at algebra and beyond.
