Michigan Sports Analytics Society

The Michigan Sports Analytics Society is a student-led group at the University of Michigan working to cultivate interest in the field of sports analytics through discussion, student engagement, and various project opportunities. Projects: Partnership with Michigan Athletics (Sep 2016 - Present) - Some of our students work with Michigan Athletics to collect and analyze player data in order to provide analytical advantages to coaches, trainers, and players. Baltimore Ravens Free Agency Competition (Sep 2017 Apr 2018) - We partnered with the Baltimore Ravens to hold a contest where students were tasked with building an analytical model to accurately predict the salaries of the 2018 NFL Free Agent Class.
