The Memphis Crisis Center is a volunteer-powered agency serving as an emotional lifeline through compassionate, non-biased, 24-hour live telephone support. Our trained volunteersusing a combination of empathetic listening, risk assessment, and crisis interventionassist callers with immediate problems and link them with the long-term resources they need to cope and overcome. The program is free, safe and confidential. The Crisis Center, in collaboration with the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network, offers Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training for local agencies, organizations, and churches.
