Medco Oman is responsible for oil production in Karim Fields (Shuwaimiah). With more than 180 dedicated employees (permanent/direct contract), Medco Oman operates in ethical, professional, open and innovative way generating value to Oman and the World. History Medco operation in Oman started in January of 2006 with oil production in Karim Fields, a field outsourced by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). Through aggressive infill drilling of more than 300 wells and application of secondary recovery, the Company was able to increase more than double the production from 11,000 BOPD to a peak of 22,600 BOPD. These efforts resulted in an extension of the contract for an additional 25 years in 2015.
