Lovisenberg Diaconal University College (LDH) was the very first institution in Norway to offer a nursing education. Ever since the start in 1868 the college has championed knowledge based nursing, centred on care for our neighbour, and this ideal is still the focal point for all activities. Quality, care and benevolence are the values on which our colleges bachelor program and all specialty courses rest. With its 1000 students LDH is one of Norways largest bachelor level schools of nursing. As well as offering a bachelor program training authorised nurses, we offer a wide variety of post bachelor specialty programs, masters programmes and supplementary courses. Lovisenberg University College is owned by The Deaconesss House Lovisenberg, a private non-profit organisation.
