LNCR

The Laboratoire National de controle de reproducteur (LNCR) is a veterinary diagnostic and research laboratory specialized in the animal health reproduction. LNCR works, particularly with Artificial Insemination centers and Embryo Transfer stations, on monitoring the sanitary status of high genetic value animal, semen and embryo from bovine, porcine, ovine, and caprine species. LNCR is officially mandated by the French Ministry of agriculture to accomplish these missions. LNCR is also playing a sanitary key role when exporting animals, semen, or embryo from Europe to the world since it is the OIE Collaborating Center for Reproductive Diseases in Europe. Based in Maisons-Alfort a few hundred meters from the National Veterinary School and the ANSES site, it has strong collaborations with these structures, particularly in the field of diagnosis and research on animal diseases and fertility.
